Rentalspec have been working with Wiggle for over 12 years. In this time, Rentalspec has provided a number of logistic support equipment pieces for Wiggle, including packing benches, storage solutions and a range of highly specialised picking trollies, all for their large 320,000 square-foot facility based in Wolverhampton.
For their most recent project, in 2020 Wiggle was in need of Rentalspec to redesign packing stations for their multiple warehouses.
Wiggle packs thousands of deliveries everyday. This means that their new packing stations had to be reliable, sturdy, and durable to withstand the test of time, as well as handle the demand for regular packing.
As per Rentalspec’s process, the first step was to collate as many ideas as possible from different experts within the team.
The next step was to combine these ideas and use Rentalspec’s extensive experience to design and develop working samples for Wiggle to inspect.
As opposed to just presenting the client with drawings and sketches, providing Wiggle with working samples allowed all the practical issues to be addressed and solved before the main production began.
The packing stations that Rentalspec redesigned were exactly what Wiggle was looking for. The redesign allows workers to pack efficiently.
